No, no, no. That was the 03 Sooners pre Big 12 Championship. Remember?

Tough to argue that one. '05 USC would've been close if they had closed it out in the Rose Bowl.

That's right, those two probably go 1st and 2nd.

Cannot deny the Miami 2001 team. Good god that team was stacked. Larry Coker was lucky as hell to have that kind of talent. You would have to be a complete idiot of a coach to completely screw that up.

I would of loved to have the QB for the team that was selected #16....Notre Dame with quarterback Chris Zorich. Bet no defense would ever stop him on a QB sneak

I'd have to add the 1994 Penn St. team in there. Even though they got robbed of the championship that year.

Look as I have posted here and elsewhere you name your greatest team all team and I will name 12 teams on a given day that can beat them.
1/2 the teams on that list if they palyed in todays game would lose and many of them bad.
Most when naming the best all time like these 4-5:
2001 Miami
1995 Nebraska
2004 USC
2005 Texas
1992 Alabama
Now if those 5 teams played each other who would win?
Doubtful you would get the same champ if they palyed each other 5 times in a round robin.
Each one has strengths and weakness, and if they played a 12 game schudele of the better teams of the last 10-15 they would lose 1-3 times.
Naming a best all time is like voting in the AP or Coaches poll it comes down to his:
What horse looks the best, it has no real meaning if they can not play each other.

'04 usc only beat 3 ranked teams all season. i don't care how good people perceive them to have been, that's just not impressive on an "all-time" level.
texas '05. meh. mostly one player.
nebraska '05. definitely. any team that could roll through spurrier at the top of his game gets my vote to be one of the best.

I have never seen a better team than the 95 Cornhuskers. IMO they should be number 1. I remember watching the NC game with Florida and was amazed how they handeled them.

Texas was a lot more than just one player in 05, but yes the 05 USC team probably would have made the list even they wouldn't have blown it.

This is true.

Do you think a 1945 Army team or a 1938 TCU team could play with the teams of today?
