In the woods it'll be the same dozen or so spread around. After Christmas we try to put drakes with hens in little pairs spread around the main decoy bunch. Don't really know if that makes a difference or not.
In our field blind we do the typical U shape facing away from the blind early season and late we just spread them out with a thin spot in front of the blind, or what ever seems to be working at the time.
