have to say, those two muffed kick returns last week have me more than a little skeptical...better just stick with handing off to him a few times a game.....

TH is not a patient runner like Rogers of OS. Watch Rogers on the tube as he approachs the line of scrimage. If TH would slow the hell down on those first 2 or 3 steps, yes. Vision has a lot to do with it also.

Its easy to call plays when you run for 130 yds up the middle in one half. Most fans would bitch because they havent thrown the ball downfield.

What are you talking about? Trindon only has one play, and that is a sweep. He has to get to the outside very fast, there is no being patient and waiting for a hole to open up in the middle.

If he had hands his number would be called a lot more. Two muffed punts and the propensity to fumble when rocked is not a good quality no matter how fast. He does best on k.o. returns. Beyond that, no matter how good the legs, the hands are a problem.

We need to use Trindon in the running game only....I do not want to watch him try to catch a pass. He may be able to do it well in practice, but why risk it in the game. Maybe next year he'll be more secure.

Im sure Trindon will get some touches this year eventually. Personally, I think less is more and we used him pretty well last year.

However, what I'd like to see us do more of is use him as a decoy more on fake reverse action. If you're playing defense, you almost have to take a double take to makes sure a guy that fast doesn't have the ball because if he does, he'll be by you so quickly. SO, I'd like to see us do this more. I think it could get defenses leaning the wrong way for a split second to open up other things. Of course, I'll leave this to Crowton

Receiving punts is a whole different "art" than taking a hand-off from a QB or even catching a pass (assuming it's not a wounded duck)....the trajectory and the spin of the ball makes it a different proposition than the above....therefore, the 3 should never be confused..... I'm not convinced that Trindon can't handle the punt return job, just needs to relax and focus on the ball, not the surrounding players....the cardinal rule in punt returning is "don't field the ball if your feet and hands aren't in position to handle cleanly....get the hell away from it".....especially if it's inside the 10 yd. line....

that being said, Trindon appears to be at least 25 lbs. lighter than this Rogers kid, and I doubt he'd stand up to the hits. But, perhaps he could go for a few inside plays. If he got thru the hole without any slowdown, he's liable to take it all the way going straight downhill.

Jesus Christ!!!

We have a RB that is in the Heisman discussion, has run for over 125 yds in EVERY game, was the FIRST LSU RB EVER to rush for over a hundred at Auburn.....and YOU want the 5'5" 140 lb back to replace his touches????

Rantardation!!!

Correct, plus Rogers keeps his legs driving and pushes forward.

more rantasticness

jesus christ osu doesn't have a back like charles scott that can pound people. I think crowton can figure out how to run our fricking offense better than the osu oc can.

We will never need to depend on 1 player to win the game like OSU did last night
