BR sports guys are not always informative or critical as they should be because of being too close to the LSU program. Tonight on TigerBait, Mike Scarborough and Buddy S did have some interesting takes

1. Brennan likely won’t play at all this season and no one knows what his plans will be. But LSU is in great shape at QB regardless, they just need a quality coach.

2. Predicted that LSU fans could know something in 2 1/2 to 3 weeks about the next head coach.

3. Feel LSU players are mailing it in, in the second half and will need someone to boost them this season.

4. Noted that Coach O told Aranda to leave and find a job, because Ed O was changing defenses. Also noted that Aranda never showed interests in being a head coach until that happened and the Baylor opening occurred.

5.Noted that the dedicated LSU fans who donated nearly $30 million to buyout O and his staff, are not going to ask Woodward anything about his discussions and who he may hire. Implying they’re being patient and trust Woodward tremendously. But noted this hire is making fans very nervous.

6. Don’t see how Jimbo can be the guy after his remarks Monday in a press conference. How would he explain that later?

7. If you look at Kiffin’s record it’s constantly going up and down. He did develop his QB well who had a lot of yards against Alabama.

8.Described trying to get Riley or Oregon’s coach Cristobol or Cincy Ohio’s coach Fickell as “pie in the sky” adding that no one knows who’s all up there that Woodward may be after,

9.The ones more likely are Aranda, Napier or Tucker. Noted that Tucker’s offense is not as high powered as LSU would like, that he would need to hire a really good OC.

So it would be a gamble?

If Tucker is hired it would a disappointment.

LSU’s next HC needs to run the show on offense and be able to recruit his arse off.

Aranda is neither of those and Tucker will need to count on an offensive coordinator.

Pass on both. If it’s between those two and Napier, give me Napier in a heartbeat.

Funny how a few years before that he was begging Aranda to stay and he saved his job. Coach O is a ungrateful bitch

I almost want them to give it to Aranda now just as a big "frick You Ed".

But I rather they give it to him because he is the right man for the job. I don't care who gets it at this point just as long as LSU Football is revived and kids get the coaching they deserve.

If true, #4 is one of the most blatant displays of coaching stupidity in our history.

Coach O showed who he really is these last two years going back to his Ole Miss days. I believe #4 statement no doubt about it

A coach didn’t show interest in becoming a head coach until a decent P5 job opened and they interviewed him? No shite.

I remember the local radio rumblings that Jimmy Ott was hearing about how coach O was unhappy with Aranda’s defense and that’s when Aranda started interviewing other jobs.

That’s probably the two worlds Aranda used when he was told of being let go.

Aranda had very close ties with people around LSU, Pirate who else do you think told Mike?

Of course the incompetent Neanderthal would do something like this. Aranda was the sole reason he got the job in the first place and saved his arse from getting fired early on at LSU. No wonder we had to settle for first time coordinators because nobody wants to work for this meddling idiot.
