I doubt very seriously they have the infrastructure for her to work remotely in Namibia (and never will quite frankly), and it's a shame because I'd damn sure like to see her go there and stay there. Just please don't send her to Costa Rica.

Of course many people like the work from home option. It allows many indirect subsidies such as reduced childcare expenses, transportation costs or just straight commute time. The problem is that in most cases it comes at a direct cost of performance to your employer.
