We had Dog Guard for our last dog. Once you train them on it, they work great. Only time he got out was once when the battery in the collar was dead and he figured out he could get out. It gives a warning beep about a foot away from where it would shock them. He would freeze and slowly back up when he heard that beep. Took about a month to train him on it. This was for a boxer. Some stubborn breeds are harder to train on it according the install guy. Labs he said were the worst.
