The obsession with the vaccine being the only thing one can do to save themselves from covid has cost thousands of lives. Still to this day most people are sent home with zero treatment options by doctors when they are infected. Not to mention other preventative measures

It's not the only thing - as the article says, rational distancing measures probably do the most (particularly for the elderly).

Which treatment options in this hypothetical are you advocating? I'll bet the subset of people diagnosed as covid-infected that are then sent home and then die is really small.
