I know none of the alleged victims and I don’t know anyone who does. So, in my world there is no crime problem. Maybe someone else has a problem but that’s not my culture and I don’t care.

Quit watching the news and you’ll be less concerned about things that wouldn’t matter anyway.

It becomes my problem when I’m at target on a weekday grabbing a few items during lunch and two people get shot outside at the ihop next door. Especially when I get stuck in the parking lot for 40 minutes because police have to lock down the area and get crime tape up.

The shite isn’t confined to the bad parts of town anymore

I don’t know any of the victims either, but you can no longer turn a blind eye to what is happening in BR and where it is happening. I didn’t care either as long as the murders were taking place in NBR. That is no longer the case.

This is the kind of attitude that had contributed to the situation we are in. The “it doesn’t affect me I don’t care” mindset. You know what? This city is bigger than you and it’s all interconnected. It may be all well and good today for you but what’s about a year from now? 5 years? What about your kids? How will it affect them? Sometimes You have to think beyond yourself if you catch my drift.
