My wife did when our kids were in elementary school. Our stop was the last stop for the bus and it would sometimes be an hour after school until they got home. She worked from home and had the time to spare.

i looked forward to gathering at the bust stop with other kids and the bus ride to school. it was sort of like the kid version of water cooler/coffee pot gatherings.
