The defense can be as good as last years', the wr position is solid & Scott is on pace for 1600 yards. The o-line is better than last year.

Most people at the begining of the year would have or did say that the road schedule is too hard considering we had no qb that has started a game. Of course we go and beat a top 10 SEC school, that had a top 10 defense, on the road.

Agree?

being ranked #5 and #6 is fine with me. it's a long season, if we continue to win, things will work themselves out. the biggest reason being that we still have to play 2 of the teams ranked ahead of us. then, missouri and oklahoma will prob play in the big 12 championship game eliminating one of those 2 teams

At this point, no.

Funny how all the LSU fans here bitched that ESPN seemed to pretty much lock up a title game position for USC in their analysis after one high profile game, but they expect the same for themselves.

perhaps slightly. I think LSU is better than missouri and Georgia... but not USC, Florida, or Oklahoma.

I am not complaining. I think we can win with the guys we have. I just think we are better than #6.

Let's see how we come out of the Florida, USC, and UGA stretch.

Im confused....I know we are not solid at the qb position, even though i think we should give the boys some time, i think lee will be the guy.. but if that is our only question mark then yes we are better than Georgia(in my opinion) and quite possibly better than missouri and maybe the others in there as well......but why does everyone put USC on a different level than every other team in college football? They always find a way to screw it up in quite possibly one of the worst bcs confrences......someone help me understand the madness

I think we need to play the games and all the cards will fall into place.

well, imo, that shows me that pete carroll is not a very good game coach. he can recruit the hell out of kids (not that it's hard to get kids to got to play football at usc), but they ALWAYS lose games they shouldn't. good coaches don't lose to teams like stanford with all the talent pete carroll has

They are damn good, but hell, so is LSU.

on merit, they have earned that ranking.

i think 6 is just about right. i wouldn't argue against 5-7 right now

When you say Carroll ALWAYS loses games he shouldn't, or USC ALWAYS chokes, it just shows your memory is pretty shitty. Is Les a bad gameday coach because he lost to two teams he shouldn't have last year? no

True, but do you believe that 2 or 3 teams in the top 5 (at this time) are better than LSU.
