It contains the spike protein of the coronavirus itself, but formulated as a nanoparticle

Can anyone explain "formulated as a nanoparticle" to me?

So the Novavax also just uses the spike? Wouldn't that make it ineffective against variants with a mutated spike, like the current vacs are against Delta and other variants with mutated spikes?

When all of this BS started I saw a clip of an old dude talking about why there had never been a successful vaccine for any coronavirus.. something to do with binding vs non binding particles.
I don't know what that means, but every time I hear about vax and the spike it makes me wonder... Is that why all the vaccines only use the spike?

Very good point. I think I remember discussion along the same line of thinking that said it would be close to impossible for protein based to be effective because coronaviruses deal with animal to animal, and in CV19's case it went from animal to human. But then we've had success with swine and bird so I honestly don't know which way is up, but that kind of is my point. Where was the transparency from the beginning on the first ever mRNA inoculation, and now a mandated forced one or bye bye employment livelihood.
