What do we as a board consider the “correct” way to begin Dark Souls

Obviously just for fun but 3 options.
-Rush pinwheel and expand your estus
-Undead burg (I’m positive this was the developers intended starting area)
-Another path but I’d wager most who don’t do either choose blight town

Undead burg is correct
Pinwheel rush is a vet strat
Master key then back door blighttown is also a vet strat
Master key and backdooring blighttown would be “correct” though imo

I agree pinwheel started as that but now new players who struggle hard can easily find that tip on virtually any website about dark souls making it a viable path to them to get past their hurdles

It’s a decent strat but that’s a hard task to undertake as a total noob unless you rush past everything and know the drop points and avoid the wheel skellies

Bonus question:
Excluding knight and cheese sorcery build what build do you think makes it easiest for a first time dark souls / FromSoft player
My choice pyromancer

Excluding knight , which is a broad term, leads me to believe you want to exclude a 2h weap like claymore which does make things easy, I’d say pyro yeah
You don’t get good miracles until late unless you rush a specific questline
Pyro is fun but brings its own challenges

I can’t remember the chicks name but one of the chaos sister that is in the tunnel has a pretty confusing quest/request/parameters for newbs and she gives a great spell so as a newb pyro you could frick that up.
Thief could also be in play

Going off script huh? Why do you think so?

Also regarding pyro as the choice, it’s pretty goddamn hard to beat smough and ornstein as a first time pyro especially if you don’t know it’s coming

Quelana, yeah .DS quest lines are a cut above the usual difficulty

Hers if I recall correctly is even above their usual cut because isn’t she invisible unless you meet some condition with the other chaos sister? I might not remember right. I wanna say you give her enough of what she is asking for

Watching a newb rush graveyard is like watching someone who has never played Bloodbourne fight the giant sharks where you find the rokuyo
