Sounds like you did a retrofit. Where does the unit sit, and was a significant part of your install cost digging up your line in?

It's in the garage. Wasn't super difficult to access the incoming water line in the wall. It's actually been installed in 2 houses for us now since we moved 2 years ago. This house was a little messy in terms of some exposed pipe in the utility room for the moment, but I have plans to have to build a built in unit there to cover it all. The re-install at the new house did cost us 600. So I guess you can figure that as the install cost.
The unit itself isn't cheap (Rainsoft). I think it was like 3k. Admittedly there are more cost effective options. We didn't shop as much as we should have. But never had an issue with the unit.
