re: Oklahoma has it right

This is an old chain mail. How do some of you fall for these things?

1. The Ten Commandments were taken down seven years ago.

2. The Illegal Immigrant stuff - much of which has been repealed since then - was passed 14 years ago. 2/3 of DEMOCRATS voted FOR it and it was signed by a DEMOCRATIC governor.

3. The DNA samples are to be collected not from any all illegals to "ship them back", it is to mandate DNA collection from all people arrested for any crimes involving violence. This also from 13 years ago. Since then the cops in Oklahoma have flat out refused to do it.

4. The "sovereign state" stuff was a resolution, a statement, not a law and has no legal basis. It has the same legal force as declaring October 1st "National Donut Day" or something like that. Since this resolution was passed (remember this is 2009 we are talking about) Oklahoma has taken no steps to act sovereign. It has no embassies abroad, no borders or passports, still takes in more money from Washington DC than it pays in, still uses things like USA Patent and Copyright laws....and still uses the USA dollar as its legal tender.

5. The gun issue continues (like abortion, the death penalty, etc.) to go on and on and on and on in the US Federal Courts.

6. The Drivers licence thing - about the English?

Ummm....no....not happening
