Taurus TX22
S&W M&P 22 full size or compact (I have full size)
Or give the new FN502 a little while to work out any bugs. It looks amazing.
Can’t go wrong with a Buckmark, Ruger Mark whatever.
Revolver of any make will work. Revolver will make rat shot easier to deal with but I don’t care about killing snakes anyway (except rattlers).
I love my full-size M&P 22 (early model made by Walther)….but the capacity and reports of reliability of the Taurus TX22 would make me look at it first. It’s also very reasonably priced.
But if I had nothing right now, I would wait and keep an eye on the new FN 502. If reports continue to be as good as they are now, it’s what I would spend the money on (it won’t be cheap though).
