My wife and i want to come down for the Fla game and there are hardly any hotels available. Im assuming because of Ida? Anyway, we thought about just getting an RV spot and renting a RV via rvshare.com or something. Has anyone had experience with this? Are there companies who nearby who would just set an RV up for the weekend and come pick it up?
TIA
TIA

I think you would have to rent it in NOLA or BR and set it up yourself in the free parking areas and return it to RV rental site.

You gotta pick one up and drive it to LSU yourself baw. Having someone drop it off would be emasculating.
We rented one a couple of years ago from someone in Metairie. They can be pretty cheap for a nightly rate because they make their money through the mileage. But you get a certain number per day so if you don’t drive any besides going to LSU and back the rate stays cheap because they can’t get you on mileage. We picked it up down there and drove it to LSU. It was a pretty awesome weekend.

It’s pretty crazy how many people are willing to give their nice RV to strangers. They were just like “do y’all know how to drive one?” And we were like “uh yes.” And they said ok and tossed us the keys.

The RVShop in Baton Rouge has been the go-to for many years, but they have little to no inventory to rent this fall. I would try RVshare, plenty of RV owners on there will deliver for an additional fee.

We have rented rvs from rv share before. Great experience. If you only use an RV 2 or 3 times a year or less it makes more sense than buying one. Nice new rig with built in generator. Was cheaper than us getting 3 hotel rooms. And I dont have to pay an RV note or for Maintainence.
