Hell, the announcers and even former players who color commentate don't always know. I've lost count of the times someone has talked about needing to call a timeout to stop the clock on a change of possession

This is one of my biggest pet peeves.
All announcers/color guys/media should take the same rules test that we do. And that extends down to the HS level.
