One more thing, one of the VIPs mentioned that the "Korea games were the best this year". Pretty sure that implied that these types of games were going on in other countries?
Yea I feel like that was one of those things thrown in in case they want to expand the universe but easily could just never bring it up again if they don’t.
I really did like the show I just hate how the main character acted towards the last few episodes. In the beginning he was a sympathetic figure who you wanted to succeed to make things right with his mom and daughter, he also showed some intelligence and skill in the games and building relationships.
In the last several episodes he’s just a pathetic waste who gets completely lucky and constantly bailed out by other players without actually doing anything intelligent himself. Even choosing the #16 he would’ve chosen #1 if the guy hadn’t asked him for it. Then he’s going to end the game and not take the money all to save a guy who’s
A. Probably going to die anyway
B. He watched kill at least two other people for the money, one he was close to, and he was just trying to kill a few seconds ago
Sure didn’t seem to give a shite about his daughter or mom in that moment.
Then he wins, won’t use the money, seemingly goes back to being a waste of space, then does the right thing with the orphan kid but bails on his own daughter. I don’t see how he’s going to take down this group without a shite load of help from the cop guy, I guess they can try and round up other past players or employees?
Also if he just took all this information to the cops and showed them his bank account and listed out the names of some of the dead people who must be missing persons, are they really not going to take him seriously? Hell he even knows the name of the dude who created the game now.

I disagree. It made him more sympathetic IMO.
A) His mom was dead by the time he got back.
B) the brother of the girl was easily accessible
C) He was on his way to go to his daughter before fate intervened, and he realized there was something at play that was bigger than him, that would cost people everything all for money. He didn’t know the games would continue past the old mans death, so he wasn’t forced to deal with the decision until that very moment. He also didn’t have a way back in until fate intervened.
The money left him more hollow than he ever imagined possible as the winner. No one wins. Not even the winner. That saving everyone from the Squid Game was a sacrifice he was willing to make. It was a very selfless act.

I never thought he was a sympathetic character. He was a degenerate gambler that owed money to a whole slew of underworld scum. He stole from his own mother to go gamble instead of getting his daughter something nice for her birthday.
I was rooting for the chick to win. The cop twist was easy to spot, so was the old man reveal. After going through all of that, I damn sure would have been spending that money on some secluded Caribbean beach. You would have to, to honor those who died for you to live. I know contestant #101 would have wanted me to snort that coke off some stripper titties.
