Tupelo QB and LSU commit Chris Garrett was 9-22 for 130 yards and 1td of 40 yards 0 int. Garrett was also sacked 7 times for minus 72 yards. Tupelo led 21-7 with 4:30 left in the game but Madison Central scored on 2 long plays to force OT. In OT Tupelo committed 2 penalties and snapped the ball over Garretts head. Tupelo failed to score and Madison Central kicked a field goal to win 24-21 in OT. Bad game here fellows. Hope he rebounds. At least he still has no picks on the year.

Sounds like he had a lot of pressure. Maybe not all his fault.

Can't have a good week every week.

Love this kid.

Props to him for keeping it together after being sacked 7times. Even with that, on the year he is:

41/68 Completions/Attempts
60% Completion Rate
705 Passing Yards
176 yds per game
10 Passing TDs
2 Rushing TDs
0 INTs
17 yds per Completion
10 yds per Attempt
1 TD every 4 completions
1 TD every 7 attempts

he still is having a good year, and the OL seems to suck anyway.

Madison Central will make a serious run for the 5A state title so he was playing against some stiff competition. One bad game against a really good team is no big deal.

Was at the game... Chris had no time and no protection. Weather was bad - pouring rain, which benefited the opponent, a running team. See link below.
