I agree. Great scene.

There was a dollar theater near my house back then. When it showed up there, I think I watched it there at least five more times.

Pretty much the only scene I remember. The rest of the movie is a discourse in angst and teenagers thinking they know better than adults and that what is happening to them is the most important thing in the world.

Sort of Lord of the Flies at a military school.

Timothy Hutton sort of made a career of this..."nobody understands me" silent struggle guy through life...rebelling, searching for answers, lost soul kinda guy.
