You look really bad as an organization if you fire your national championship winning coach less than 2 years after he put together the team that won it for you. This will be a negative for any coach who has an established reputation as a winner. It really disgusts me to say this, but look at Jimbo at a&m. He had a rough start, lost some games that he shouldn't have, but he is making progress and the faggies support him. Why would anyone with sense want to take a job where you could be fired so quickly? The program needs to project stability and not panic.

Um, no you don’t. Everybody would understand after last season and this season if/when things get worse with losses.

LSU looks worse all the time when O continues to do questionable things and fires coaches year after year. Look at all the money he has cost LSU.

You want to compare Jimbo’s resume to O’s? Not sure anybody should be compared to O.

Because they can win a national championship here and get paid? Also, an actually above avg coach can sustain success if avg to below avg coaches like Miles/O can win here.

It’s fine to wait on a rebuild with an established coach like Jimbo. The problem is O continues to make poor coaching hires and he has to always hit on both hires. It is wasteful to continue with this ridiculous format. Only HC that can sustain this type of format is Dabo and that is because of two things. He plays in a horrible conference and his elite DC doesn’t ever want to leave for some reason.
