Progressives are quick to remind us we're a nation of immigrants...

Here’s what I think about this.

We’re a “nation of immigrants” but that was 200 years ago, when we were a new country. I’m no history buff, but I’m sure there were a ton of countries in Europe that STARTED that way.

In that time, we’ve had a culture that was established. Those outdated platitudes of “we’re a melting pot” (we’re more like a salad at this point) don’t apply anymore. Annoys me that the same people who say we’re a nation of immigrants because of where we were 200 years ago also call the constitution an outdated document. Can’t have it both ways.

At this point, I don’t really care what color you are. We ARE a white country, though. White people built this country to where it was. It’s not up for debate, look at every advancement we’ve had. This doesn’t mean I’m a white supremacist. It simply means I think it’s silly to want to eradicate white people. By all means. Come to America. Contribute. Work. Go to school. But you have to assimilate to the culture. Without a unified culture we have no country.

And THAT’S the problem today. People want to come in and maintain their own culture. People WITHIN the country want to destroy the culture because of “white supremacy.”

Nation of immigrants is an outdated philosophy.
