I converted some funds into hex randomly in June. They’ve been sitting in my coinbase wallet but moved them over to my MetaMask.
Had no idea there was a way to stake them and earn whatever the frick a t share is. I assume it’s better than sitting in my wallet.
Should I stake them all on hex? If so, what’s the recommended contract date?

HEX is definitely a polarizing coin. I have a little because it's got a lot of true believers which I think will make it a decent short term play. That being said, I just can't see how anyone could not look at HEX and immediately get scammy vibes. The reverence for Hart as a benevolent genius billionaire, the canned phrases "meat on the bone" "monetizing the value of time" and "hex truth engine".
There's even a section on hex.com called "hex scam truth" that's starts off with "hex is like bitcoin but better" and then has sections "is hex a ponzi", "is hex a mlm", and "is hex a cult". Hex marketing uses Richard Hart's name interchangeably with Hex when referring to actions.
Best of luck to all the hex investors, my small stack included, but if all that stuff doesn't strike you as a sign this will be added to a long list of things like things like amway, primerica, and cutco, we are on totally different wave lengths

quote:Well, he is all those things. I'll be 100% honest. My worldview is completely different than his. I disagree with many things he does and says, but he's proven to be generous and that's a fact.
benevolent genius billionaire

monetizing the value of time
quote:So you disagree with a page on the website addressing all the BS fud? I think it's helpful to educate people about the truth.

amway, primerica, and cutco,

HexCalc
If you want to stake, go to your metamask browser and to this site.

It's all true, but do some homework and don't take my word. That goes for anything here posted by me and anyone else regarding any coin or investment.
My point is that it’s speculative at best that the guy with a damn near majority stake won’t liquidate and take his money. Just because he’s a billionaire doesn’t mean he’s going to hodl forever.

Do you recommend selling my Amazon or Microsoft for identical reasons?

, Bezos owns 10.3% and Gates has less than 2% of MSFT. Terrible comparison.

I think you might be missing the point. You (hex believer) sees that stuff and says "finally someone's spreading the truth" wheras someone like myself thinks "this is a bit concerning that hex has to devote significant portions of its marketing to convincing people its not a mlm, ponzi, scam, or cult".
Maybe if it was just one of those things you could laugh it off but all of them...

Amazon and Microsoft also don’t mint new shares that go to their stack via code.

And our different perspectives are the reason we have different size positions. I'm not missing the point at all. I see it differently than you.
Hex has done better than anything else in a while in spite of all the lies and fud.
Posted on 9/16/21 at 8:21 pm to FnTigers
It’s not all lies. Everything I have stated about Richard and the Original Address is true.
I don’t like when people call facts fud.
Here are three key facts via HEXs white paper/Richard interviews.
The OA is the single largest bag holder of Hex at or over 50%.
The OA actively stakes.
The OA has hard coded functions to send newly minted tokens to its address.

quote:it's way more than 50%. I said that 10x already in this thread. Pay attention.

quote:The OA stopped staking to give more yield to the stakers while diluting itself.
The OA actively stakes.
quote:no one denied this. Not once.

Name 1 scam victim.
You can't.
Name 1 person Richard has ever scammed.
You can't.
Hex is a ponzi? Lies
Hex is a pyramid scheme? Lies
I'm talking about the actual fud. You seem to be struggling with comprehension.

Simply asking questions and answering your own questions isn’t a defense.
Yes. No one has been scammed yet and why would they? You guys keep pumping money to Richard. Yea. You early adopters will make money, but the way this is built, late additions are going to lose bigly. HEX has no mechanism to use liquidity to earn. It’s only option is to have new buyers. Hex does nothing own its own and Richard (OA) has all the power.
In every other application on this planet having a single point of failure is bad. But not with HEX apparently.
That is why you guys pump it so hard.

All I ask is that when we bump this thread down the line is that you come back. I'll do the same if I'm wrong.

No I understand. I have fully read the white paper.
HEX has as much utility as doge. Congrats.
Like doge there will be more losers than winners. Unlike doge, Richard hard coded himself as always a winner. It’s in black and white.

I know this will probably make you cry more, but here you go. Later!

Why would I cry? This isn’t a defense.
The fact that this is used as a defense just shows me investors are ignorant.
Everything I have said is true.
