Read it again. Players can read and everyone on TD were already giving us a 17+ point win vs an overmatched opponent.
If they hear it enough, they begin to believe it themselves and overlook the opponent.

TD does not set the tone in the locker room for an opponent. No matter what any of us say here, it means absolutely nothing. Overlooking an opponent is strictly a coaching and player issue.

People on TD say this every year. We said this about Washington 2009, Oregon in 2011, TCU in 2013, BYU in 2017, Miami in 2018, etc etc.
But yeah it's TDs fault we lost this one. Sure.
