Read the 9/11 report. It was not an inside job, but it was pretty clear they knew something was about to happen. Only a handful of folks at the FBI put it together , but they couldn’t get through the internal bureaucracy in time for anyone to authorize them to follow, bug or search the people of interest. Once the second plane hit, they all put it together real fast, which is why they leaked “who did it” by 11 AM and put the Saudis on the plane out of the country.

Probably because the guy at the flight school where they trained was ringing alarm bells to them.

If they had paid it as much attention as a garage pull rope in Talladega, Alabama, September 11 would just be another day and we may have had an administration with enough balls to kill Bin Laden when the opportunity had presented itself. And the reason would have been the USS Cole and the 93 bombing instead of September 11.

Not that impressive. It was obviously was OBL as soon as the second plane hit.

McVeigh types intend to survive the attack and the operation was too sophisticated for the PLO or Hamas.

It was bombed in 93. It was a target for sure but I agree that specific method of destruction was not identified until it was too late.
