North Port, Florida

My first job out of college was with North Port’s water dept.

It’s a HUGE city geographically speaking. It’s one of the largest cities in the country if the undeveloped areas are taken into account.

Back in the 90s, some real estate folks scammed thousands of yankees into buying thousands of building lots that were pretty much all swamp.

Before being shut down, hundreds of miles of would-be residential roads were built and thousands of would-be driveways were poured.

Once everything was officially shut down, the roads in these rural areas basically became drop zones for drug smuggling.

North Port is sketchy AF.
