My termite guy suggested I buy these from Amazon to put at my camp, but the bait only lasts 6 months vs a year since it’s not commercial grade.

Put down bait - it’s the only way to get rid of them for sure. They bring it back to the best and die vs you fricking around digging.

Yes, I think I am going to put some more out. It can't hurt. The problem is the termites never went to the bait. The station would pop but no termites.
Months ago, I found a video from an old termite guy and in the old days, they would make their own termite bait traps. And just did a search and found the video again. Located here for anyone who doesn't want to buy the commercial stuff. LINK
