Wearing yellow star in my SE Portland shtetl, mates :(

People looking at me with disgust all afternoon as I shopped for groceries. The Norwegian fishmonger flat out refused to sell me any halibut or salmon and instead restricted me to a choice of oysters, shrimp, or tilapia (all bottom feeders). I am considered less than human, and am followed by a tangible scorn by everyone who encounters me. I worry about my sedan having its windows broken on the 3rd floor parking garage as young leftists seek to intimidate me at my own place of residence.
I will begin my diary to document the persecution and hostilities that I face in 2021 America. I have decided to begin my diary with a prayer. A simple prayer and a fervent hope that future generations will truly learn about the dangers of fascism this time.

I’m just grateful that I’m still allowed to procure meat and cheese - and fear that soon I’ll be allowed only certain grains and picked over produce

Maybe they don’t appreciate you comparing yourself to people who faced horrific situations, torture, and execution bc of their ethnicity and religion. That’s what you’re doing with that mask.
