What I want to know is how a vaccine got EUA by the FDA largely because of an efficacy of preventing disease at or around a 95% clip. However, now we are seeing that efficacy is approaching closer to 50%. The FDA has mentioned nothing about this....they haven't updated their efficacy numbers to reflect that. They were fricking wrong and they aren't taking any responsibility for it. That's where my concern lays. On top of that the FDA fully approved Pfizer even though the efficacy had dropped severely based on real world use....how is that possible? The scientific data got worse for the vaccine yet it still get fully approved. That tells me something fricky is going on in the background that us lay people aren't being told.

When you don't understand what those percentages are referring to of course you'd come to incorrect conclusion regarding vaccine efficacy.

It doesn't matter what you think they refer to it matters what we were told by the FDA....which is that Pfizer and Moderna both approached 95% effectiveness at preventing COVID-19 infection.
