Orgeron said he will play

quote:

Ed Orgeron said linebacker Mike Jones Jr. will play against McNeese State. A former nickel hybrid, Jones is still learning how to play inside, but Orgeron said he can tackle in space and cover.

“I want to see him out there (vs. McNeese). He’s an experienced player. It’s still an ongoing process for him, but he definitely can run, make plays in space, great in coverage. You’ll see him this week.”

This tells me all I need to know about this staff. MJ Jr was a projected 1st or 2nd rd player by a lot of mock draft sites. Let’s move a guy from outside to inside. Strong was out of position on every big play last week. Why not let him play a hybrid role?
