IMO we aim too high on a lot of prospects around the country who really have no intentions in coming here. This causes us to get left at the alter on signing day and miss out on a bunch of underrated large bodied in state talent.

There wasn’t a thing to make anybody think this kid wasn’t going to be anything but a force in college. He
dominated just about everybody at the camps and even Saban tried to talk him out of his LSU commitment. Tough to figure this one out other than a bad injury which has not healed.

Agreed. Which is why I’m happy they’re taking Bo Bordeleon and Fitzgerald West this year

I totally agree that we probably go after some players that have no desire to come to LSU, but how does this continue to happen year after year? It would seem that somebody on the staff would recognize that we need to change direction in our recruiting of OL.

My biggest gripe is our OL talent isn't near the level of other top-level SEC teams and that's just a recipe for disaster. The new OL coach was quoted as saying his biggest disappointment this past weekend was that the OL "wasn't aggressive"! WTF! If this veteran OL group doesn't realize the level of aggression that is needed to win every Saturday at this point, they need to all be benched!
