Kamara owner here.

Bank on a healthy Kamara all year? Or do I try and trade for Tony Jones, giving either Javonte Williams or Trey Sermon?

Personally thought DEN Williams ran far better than Sermon if I was to pick straight off talent. But we know Mostert inevitably hurt and Williams sharing with MGIII.

Other RB is Gaskin because I didn’t learn about RB depth from 2020 :RIP:

Would not give either. Even as a Kamara owner.

If your RBs are:
Kamara
Javonte Williams
Sermon
Gaskin

By week 4,5,6 or whenever they inevitably establish themselves as the starter for their respective teams, you could potentially have 4 top 20 backs in the league on your roster.

They would be bargain chips for almost any WR you want at that point. Or keep them all if you want.

None of them worth trading for Tony Jones, imo

Yeah I'm as big on handcuffs as anyone. But, you can't trade away guys that are going to start the year with a defined role and also have an opportunity to be the lead back for a handcuff that may never be a thing.

I usually never handcuff, but not completely against it.

Just so happened the way one of my drafts fell this year, the opportunity was there to handcuff both RBs, A Jones & Montgomery.
(got Damien Harris as RB3 wayyyy later than projected)
I never used that strategy, so hopefully it pays off.

With Kamara's slippery running style and a good o line, I don't see him with as much of an injury risk.
Plus I think with Jameis's arm, he will back the D up some versus when Brees was under center.

Really, I just think that is a roster with too much talent & potential at RB to waste a spot on a handcuff.

Thanks guys.

I was on the same track just didn’t want to miss my shot as Tony Jones owner likes the rookies.

HODL.

Now, if that owner likes the rookies that much, you could use it as an opportunity to upgrade another position in a 2 for 1 trade or a 2 for 2 deal. For instance, you could give away Williams or Sermon and one of your lesser WRs for Jones and a better WR. Just depends if you're weak at QB, WR or TE and he has someone you like.

I’m pretty good elsewhere.

But for good measure.. let me see if I can get some Lunatik FF therapy..

12 team, PPR

QB: Stafford and Lawrence
RB: Kamara, Gaskins, DEN Williams, SF Sermon
WR: Ridley, Woods, A. Cooper, M. Thomas, Mooney and CAR Marshall
TE: Waller
DST: Steelers

Feel pretty good everywhere but RB. I feel the need to HODL the two QBs in case Lawrence doesn’t pan out like I’m betting on. If anything, may try to upgrade RB big in a few weeks depending on MT and the early season production from my guys.

What QBs does he have? You could maybe trade away Stafford and upgrade there. But, if you really believe in Lawrence and expect to be starting him, I can definitely understand not wanting to give away a valuable lottery ticket in Sermon or Williams to do that.

Damn that is a solid arse roster for 12 team.
Got all the bases covered. You're fine at RB

How'd you end up with AK, Ridley, & Waller? Drafted from the 3 spot I assume and got Waller in the 3rd?

Wait a couple weeks. Buy Tony Jones Jr low, I think Williams, Sermon or Gaskin would be overpaying for a handcuff

Dealing Cooper and an RB for Jones and a WR upgrade would be plausible with good timing

Gaskins makes me nervous, but if he can be 75% of what he was in 2020 I’m happy.

Yeah: AK at 4, Ridley in the second then scooped Waller. I’ve drafted Waller three years in a row

understandably so, but even if he flops, odds are you are going to hit big with one of those rookie RBs.
Those teams invested too much draft capital on them.
I have plenty shares of Jav Williams as my RB3.

I'd keep going back to that well too He always seems to get scooped up before the 3rd when I draft, where I wouldn't even think about pulling the trigger.
Just not meant for me to roster him I guess
