And Damn Anderson is 6’6”, he needs to be sitting at 97/98, not 94/95. That shite don’t cut it in 2021.

You aren't wrong. But you also don't want someone throwing at 100% effort all the time. That's what leads to elbow injuries. He can sit at 93-95 w/that elite change that he has. He can hit 97-98 when he needs to, but not all the time.

I've said before that Ian might end up being the best of the bunch.

Mike Soroka(once he gets back to 100%) says hi.

Agree. And that'll come w/experience.

From what I've heard/read, 2023 seems to be a good target year for both of them

Nice. Got to sign Freddie and make some kind of decision on Dansby. He was the overall #1 and so people naturally focus on his offense, which has gotten much better power-wise. But I’ve watched more Braves games the past 2 years than I had the last decade—kids will do that to you—and I had no idea Dansby was as great defensively as he is. I mean, he’s really, really fricking good. That, combined with his power numbers, make me scared of him hitting the open market. Some team is gonna throw some serious cash at him if he becomes a FA. And I want to keep him, but is that feasible? Do we have another SS in the farm that’ll be ready in the next couple years?

And what’s the plan with our #1 pick this year? From Clemson? Dude needs to be up next year contributing somehow. shite, I wasn’t opposed to bringing him up this September. The game has changed so much. EVERYBODY throws 97+. At least. It’s wild.

I’m talking about THIS year. But I got reamed last year for saying not to expect Soroka to just walk back this year and be the guy he was before he got hurt. Now, he’s torn his Achilles again? I think there’s a better chance of him not ever pitching again than being an ace. Obviously, I hope I’m wrong, but 2 Achilles tears is fricking brutal for a pitcher.

Fried still struggles with command a tad bit too much, I think.

I know it's frustrating. But he'll be back next season.

Let's all remember that he's only 23.

I'll take it, but Angel Hernandez has a comically bad strike zone. I'm not sure how he still has a job.

Soroka is 23, not 33.

He'll be fine.

I don't think he will. He's tough as nails and will work his arse off, but I think the team will slow play it this time considering he's had it repaired twice in less than a year.

What pitch is Max throwing 84/85?

I think this has more to do with it than it should, unfortunately. He's terrible though. Coaches, players, and fans all know he's bad. Dallas Braden (former A's pitcher who threw a perfect game a few years ago) rips Angel Hernandez to shreds on Twitter all the time.

Hernandez filed a lawsuit against MLB several years ago claiming discrimination. In response, Braden tweeted "the strike zone has filed a counter suit against Angel Hernandez claiming negligence & discrimination for the last 25+ years".

I will certainly concede he has a better chance of “coming back” and than he would at 33.

He may indeed be “fine.” I just think the odds of him ever being an ace are remote, at best.

And because he’s only 23, I also don’t think he’ll pitch in the bigs again until ‘23. Zero reason to rush him. In fact, lots of reasons to slow play him and be VERY conservative. I think the their vision for him should be not to count on him ever being in the rotation again. Anything he gives you from this pint out is simply lagniappe.
