No need to leave it out all night, put it in the fridge when you go to bed, pull it back out in the morning if needed

Yeah, For big things I usually thaw for 2 days in the fridge or I take it out night before and let it spend an hour or so on the counter (still very cold to the touch) and put it in the fridge before bed.
