Not only that, but there are 38 states that have feticide laws...where the killing of a fetus is a homicide. Murder, manslaughter, negligent homicde, etc, depending on the state.

In other words, 38 states treat the fetus as a human being with constitutional rights

Even California calls it murder. Cal. Penal Code § 187 (a) defines murder as the unlawful killing of a human being or a fetus with malice aforethought.

If it's a homicide when a drunk driver or abusive husband injures a pregnant woman and the fetus dies, it's a homicide when a doctor aborts it.
