Donating money for disaster relief is political? How so?

by the exact, and literal definition....

quote:

Politics (from Greek: ????t???, politiká, 'affairs of the cities') is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.

Hes criticizing how someone in her position is distributing her recourses to those less powerful and with less status than her.

Any other questions? Happy to help.

How anyone could think "boo, youre rich, you should give more" isnt a political or leftist POV is so willfully dense its absurd.

As someone that is an actual leftist by this forum’s warped perspective(though not by any rational metric), it is the height of irony to me that you are pejoratively calling someone a leftist for someone not falling all over themselves to thank and congratulate the most heavily subsidized and single greatest individual government beneficiary in the fricking state lol.

The Bensons have literally received 100’s of millions of dollars into their business coffers off the backs of taxpayers via things like the direct funding of the infrastructure that is necessary for their businesses to operate, subsidies to help raise profits to incentivize them to remain here, outsourcing the profits to the Benson’s off things like naming rights and allowing all revenue for their games to remain with them, no interest charged, while handing taxpayers the bill for the major upkeep of their business arteries and being excluded from taxes and fees the rest of us have to pay on our businesses or as individuals.

There is not a more lemon socialistic relationship in the state than the one the Benson’s have with the state, but I guess if you hand me 1,000,000 dollars in government money from taxpayers, and I donate 1,000 of it, it’s still charity, technically, I guess.

Using your expansive definition of "political" makes any discussion of a rich person giving a donation to the less fortunate "political."

That would make your comment meaningless.
