Well Avery's mom actually does post here. I'm not sure why yall are knocking the kid.. he's great at what he does and by all accounts a nice young man. Why shouldn't he wear #18?
ETA: Unless you yearn for the days of Cam Gamble as our kickoff man. You know exactly what you're going to get out of Atkins. No surprises.

He’s good at his job and never complains. Probably performs better than some previous 18’s and 7’s.

Avery Atkins is a better kickoff specialist than Joe Burrow was a QB.
Hes 227/270 on touchbacks/kickoffs. 2 have gone out of bounds.
Unless Joe was successful on more than 85% of his plays...then objectively....you are wrong, fella.
Look no one is saying hes "better" than Burrow. But hes better at what he does than anyone ever at LSU.
