I love this guy. Hopefully, when the time comes, he’ll take a reigns at LSU in the post O era.

He turned down auburn and South Carolina.

He has his eye fixed on LSU or bama.

I don't think Bama is going to get Dabo like many claim.

He’s smart not to take one of the smaller shitty P5 jobs.

I wonder how many good coaches go somewhere like South Carolina or State and get lost because it’s borderline impossible to win big there.

I’m surprised Tennessee didn’t make a play for him instead of Heupel

He's betting on himself, which I love, but it's certainly taking a risk. It's not like ULL is paying him nothing, but he has a BIG pay day coming. The risk is that the window could close extremely fast. ULL should certainly be good enough to keep his name hot this year, but a down year or two could shut his name down pretty quickly. Hud was a semi hot name at one point too, but he didn't jump on the opportunity and look at him now. Napier seems to be a different beast than Hud though, with a higher ceiling, and I don't expect the same drop. But it's an example of the door shutting on you quickly.

Napier will be at LSU in 2022 if there is any additional dysfunction in the program this season.

Wodward is not an Orgeron Sycophant and wants to make his own hire.

BN did not take any of those other jobs for a reason.

Judging from past hires, I'm not sure if Woodward would go after Napier out the gates. Not saying it would be a bad hire, but it doesn't fit in with his hiring of Jimbo, Mulkey and Johnson.

Great coach and an even better person. His staff has been loyal to him and they are waiting for the perfect opportunity. When he decides to leave he will hit the ground running wherever he ends up. His father was one of the nicest men I've been around. Incredible football coach and a heck of a competitor. My hs was in the same region and had some great battles with those Murray County teams coached by his father.

Napier is a great coach. He and Dabo butted heads as they were each too young and too certain they each had the right direction to work together, but Napier is good people.

He’ll holdout of LSU, or I think UNC is a darkhorse option for him if Mack builds it up a bit more and then rides off into the distance.
