Fridge-freezer without power question

My power has been out since noon yesterday and we are not currently allowed back into our parish to do anything. How long before the meat in my freezer becomes a problem? I’m not worried out losing it, just don’t want to have to throw the whole fridge away.

I think it will last about 24 hours if you don’t open the door. Maybe a little longer.

Freezer…Just about everything in it is vacuum sealed or zip locked I’m sure. Just don’t open the bags and you should be ok
Fridge… depending on what’s in there, could have a science experiment in a couple days

If you can get a neighbor to break into your house and empty fridge, do it, shite gets so nasty

Update
Cleaned it out today. Some things in the freezer were still partially frozen and fridge was still cool.

FYI..... After hurricane Rita, I was gone for 5 days. When I got home, the stuff in my chest freezer was still partly frozen. I did have about 40 lbs of block ice in the freezer.
After Laura, I had an older Ref. in the garage that was only about 1/2 full. After a few days, I emptied it out into the kitchen Ref and chest freezer. Every few days, I ran that Ref for a while just so it would not "freeze" up.
About the 3 or 4 time I ran it, it only got cool, not cold. I thought I was going to have to throw it away. Got electric power back a couple weeks later and it has been running great ever since. That Kenmore is now about 32 years old.
