Sequoia question, TRAC OFF and Check Engine lights

So about a week ago, my wife told me her Sequoia was driving a little funny. Said the transmission wasn't shifting smooth. I took it out that night and everything seemed fine. Took it up some hills in the neighborhood and out to the interstate. She said it seemed to be fine after that one time, and I took it to Home Depot this weekend and no issues. Today I was driving afternoon carpool, and noticed the TRAC OFF light and the check engine light came on, and it seemed very underpowered when I started driving, but once it finally shifted out of first gear, after getting to about 3k RPMs, it drove fine. I'm going to take it to get the codes from the computer, but any ideas? After a quick search, it seems a loose gas cap can cause this, but that wasn't it. I took it off and tightened it to the 1 click and drove around the block again. I've read everything from an O2 sensor, to several other things that could cause this.

Year and miles
On Toyota the three light combo is almost always emissions.
Get about a half tank of fuel in it, dump in a can of berrymans Chemtool and a can of seafoam.
Then run the absolute shite out of it.
If you have a live OBD2 tool, you can watch your exhaust temps. One side will likely be lower than the other.

2012 with 87k miles. We’ve had it about a year. It is just two lights. One that just says TRAC Off and the standard check engine light. I took it to O’Reilly’s to get the codes and he said it was the secondary air injection system. He reset the ECM and said if it was not a computer issue the light would likely come back on in a few days. Drove it back home and around the neighborhood a few times, up the hills and all seems ok for now. I’ll likely get it checked out more thoroughly soon but for now it seems ok. We still have two other vehicles so not a big deal if I have to not drive this one for a bit.

Mine does the same thing, I let off the accelerator for about 3 seconds and it works fine.

If the secondary air pump needs to be replaced. I would save $1500-2000 and bypass it with a 2008 - 2014 Plug & Play SAIS Bypass Kit

Order a new OEM gas. It may not go off immediately.
If you own an old(er) Toyota, get the OBD Fusion App and a Bluetooth OBD2 reader (I use Veepeak). Also get an OBD2 cable and a copy of Techstream.

2018 Toyota 4Runner. Exact same thing happened about 6 months ago. New gas cap solved the issue.
