That’s pretty selfish. Somebody is going to have to risk their life going in there to save them when the shite hits the fan.

Tell those folks to write their SS number on their arm with a sharpie and tell them they are in their own.

Only if you make other peoples decisions your business, and it's not.

No one is going to rescue them during the hurricane, and I'm sure they're fine with it.

it won't be prudent.
helicopter cannot fly in 75 mph no less 150.
the 10 to 15 foot surge under the eye could wipe grand isle clean. even if it misses direct hit surge could be
8. 8 knocks down houses.

for the next 48-72 hours, those folks are on their own. I am sure the parish made that pretty clear.

you must have never been through a hurricane before, no one, nobody, will go save anyone until after the storm has passed and its then and only then that they will look for survivors.

this aint no frickin movie on TV, they dont go out in storms to save people, they only check for survivors and then rescue any found after the fact

At some point we have to just say that if you stay in a place like Grand Isle during this type of storm, you are on your own and resources will not be spent bailing you out of a really bad choice.
