If you test negative for antibodies that just means you haven't had Covid recently.
Your body doesn't flood itself with antibodies for every single virus and bacteria you've ever encountered in your life, but it does keep track of what it's found and what's worked out well. You may have had it long enough ago for your body to stop producing antibodies but it still knows how to fight it and will start production on antibodies once it detects Covid 19, or a Covid 19 variant, again.
