Its 98%, not 99%. Excuse my “ridiculous claim”. Just sharing what I’ve read.

That’s materially different than saying 99% of Italians buy Barilla, though. That stat is saying that Barilla is available in 98% of Italian grocery stores. Heinz and Coke are probably in 98% of American grocery stores, but that doesn’t mean that 98% of Americans buy those brands.
