There is no ISIS-K. The gov didn't plan on arming the Tali. its just incompetence.

First off, ISIS-K is a made up group, invented by the government and/or Taliban to explain attacks against the US and not have to say 'the Taliban attacked...'.
Don't think of the Taliban as some hivemind. They're made up of oftimes-squabbling groups that often disagree. ISIS-K is in no way some separate entity that is also against the Taliban. The Taliban is making things hard on America as we withdraw, because why not? They fricking hate us, and know that we aren't going to do shite about shite at this point.
Secondly: A lot of people on the left and the right like to point at the other side's leadership and simultaneously claim they're incompetent and retarded, but also weaving elaborate conspiracies designed to play 3D chess like a hollywood villain.
Why can't we just agree most leadership in Washington, regardless of party, is either average or incompetent? Democracy doesn't exactly filter for governing competence, it filters for popularity. Sure, the CIA might have a huge amount of power and try to orchestrate multi-level operations to control various countries (including the USA). However, almost every time, things eventually blow up in their faces, sometimes immediately. Our government isn't composed of gods, they're just average intelligence people who are given really powerful tools and have little to no understanding of how to use them.
They're more Keystone Kops, less Clive Owen from Inside Man.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO
With that being said, Afghanistan looks even worse. There is no grand plan to arm the Taliban, we just left the weapons on the ground because either they were given to the ANA, or we couldn't get them out, and then through incompetence, forgot to destroy them.
We couldn't get them out because, incase you aren't familiar with maps, Afghanistan is landlocked, and Pakistan isn't interested in helping us get our shite out. China and Russia have exerted pressure to the other stans to not allow US operations to those countries, and Iran is Iran. The end result is that we were fricked.
All of this is simple incompetence. We should have done this from Bagram, not the middle of Kabul. But our leadership was dumb. Not secretly plotting, just dumb. They'll be dumb again, and it's not just Biden. It's the whole DC politburo. That's what should concern us.

The CIA Director went to the Taliban and begged them to help us get some Americans out.

I was quite surprised they didn't 86 the director of the CIA. How big of a coup would that have been?

Probably because he gave them a billion dollars and more weapons to motivate them.

We are being lied to.
There’s no way ISIS militants just waltz through Taliban checkpoints. Not how it works.
My theory is the Taliban targeted Afghans on the list we gave them and we are in CYA mode.

I'd say the admin told themselves he was going in to 'establish a long term relationship' with the Tali which boiled down to "we would like to bribe you to do things we have no way to verify actually will be done" which they then said "sure!"
The Taliban aren't as dumb as we are, because we killed all the stupid ones.

If it was ISIS-K and not ISIS, are the Marines less dead? Is our leadership less responsible? Can’t wait for the other ISIS-ALPHABETS to make their grand entrance…

I don't buy that ISIS is some Taliban offshoot. I don't think they wanted this. That is going to be the excuse to stay there permanently per the ghouls like McMaster pushing this propaganda.

Can we just call them angry Muslims. They’re all the same. And now we’re once again importing more.
