He was sharing grief not attn seeking, you jackass!
This is a crock of shite dosed up while overflowing.
He got downvoted because there is a group of such staunch anti vaxers that they don't see things any other way..... but that if you get vaxxed you aren't a patriot. Or are a traitor to the patriots.
Some are so cringe that they think the these covid death stories aren't real.
And yes, some have posted this garbage here.
It is ignorant.
If you don't trust the CDC & FDA I am right with you and you have your right to refuse the vax-but don't make it a baw clique fringe patriot thing.
I agree piling on the guy isn't necessary, but let's be honest... what was the intent of the post? To share his grief or to spread fear porn? Has he posted about other friends that died? A friend's 17 year old died in a car crash the other night after leaving work... are we posting about all deaths?

To share his grief?
No, that wasn’t my initial intent.
I posted because I believe that all the arguing and fighting is for nothing. We all make decisions based on our personal experiences. For some, Covid isn’t much more than a debate on TD, while for others it’s taken loved ones, old friends, family.
I hate the fact that when someone who has been personally effected does post in an effort to show Covid does kill some, that poster receives grief.
It’s almost as if some posters here don’t want to hear how it can take lives. I get it. For most, even though they continue to tell us Covid is like the flu and that 99.999% of people who catch it will survive, there’s always that fear that someone close will contract the virus and struggle.
I’ve been posting here since 2006 and I’ve never seen anything bring out the absolute worst in people like Covid.
It’s okay to be scared.
