Also it sucks that we "protected" all the kids last year with the crazy mask wearing and quarantines in schools if they tested positive or came in close contact with someone that did. That initial virus wasn't causing symptoms in kids. And now that Delta and other variants are affecting kids, we're screwed because they didn't really have a chance to build up any natural immunity from catching it naturally last year.

But are they? Check out the huge summer spike of RSV, it was as larger/larger than the winter breakout, then tell me about kids in the hospital with CoviD.


Also, the CDC was estimating months back that somewhere in the neighborhood of 40% of school-aged children had already been infected. Guess those precautions did well...
