Biden's mistake was withdrawing in the first place. I don't think we should have withdrawn nor do I think a deal negotiated with the Taliban should have been honored.
I blame Trump for the 2020 Doha Agreement (and the fact that the Taliban violated it so many times without any retribution from his administration) and I blame Biden for honoring an agreement with the Taliban.
But here's the thing.
Biden violated the agreement.

I actually agree with him on that. The problem in my opinion is that he eventually honored the agreement. It should have been violated from the beginning - no US administration should be brokering deals with terrorists.
Withdrawing is the biggest political mistake in the past decade. While Trump trapped Biden into withdrawing, I think Biden took the road of political cowardice instead of what is the right decision.
