Will prob be fine, just clean well after every use and watch the hardware for rust.

I've had black one in saltwater for 8 years now. Even with cleaning really good you will have maintenance to do on it every few years. I've changed pretty much every part on the thing except the motor it self and the main board. Minn Kota sells all the parts online and they are pretty cheap. Given my boat colors a white one would look terrible so I just keep the black one working. One of these years hopefully Power Pole finally brings their TM to the market and I'll switch over to it.
