Being "smart" or IQ level has nothing to do with it.
Being "open minded", unbiased & AWARE does.
I was going to say also being "LITERATE", but even the illiterate who can not read can still hear/listen/watch the preponderance of evidence to then make a "gut level" decision.
The "illiterate", deaf and/or dumb (ignorant) usually have a high degree of innate "common sense" which allows them to survive, cope despite their challenges, handicaps.
