Not only due to overall Saints fandom... but after watching his latest interview , where he was about as well-spoken as any QB I've heard from lately, he really looks committed and ready to take the next step as a leader. It looks like Drew and CSP have really had a positive impact on him.

Time will tell with his play on the field -- but the guy looks to be maturing and I give him props for that! I really hope the hard work pays off for him.

EDIT: This isn't a comparative post to Taysom. I know he's a great leader too. I hope they both play great.

Taysom is more well spoken. Taysom really looks committed and ready to lead and next step and all that blah blah blah.

I have never really understood the collective bagging on a player. you would think you would want him to succeed because if he does, the team does.

and i realize i have been very critical of players over the years - but i have wanted them to play well.

Why does it take Bobby Hebert 3 minutes to ask every question?

Jameis was a #1 overall pick 6 years ago. He has the physical talent we need to be very successful. If he can be just averagely accurate, then his ability to throw the long ball will revolutionize our offence. Payton will put him in favorable situations and let him know that throwing it away is always an option.

With this dilapidated WR unit, I seriously could see Sean going with a Ravens-like run-attack/game-plan with Taysom at the helm, at least until MT13 returns or until Taysom shows he can’t cut it.

He's winning me over a bit. He appears to have a strong work ethic and seemsto appreciation for the moment he's in. Hopefully he's grown as a person. Watched a few highlights recently of Jameis against the Saints. It's not the interceptions that stood out, but the moments of immaturity. Poking Lattimore in the back of the helmet starting a fight on the sidelines type stuff. That can't happen

I think we can go 12-5 with Jameis.

I will say that he does seem to have matured in general. He looks more poised in front of the camera.
